SWIM2U DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
In order to provide the
opportunity to develop a wide range of skills
swimmers should attempt all 10 aspects of the
N.S.A. but are only required passing 8.
Pupils will be continuously assessed and
progressed accordingly.
For distance awards of 25
metres or above, the strokes should be
continuous, stress free & easily recognisable as
1 of the 4 competitive strokes. For distances
over 50 metres the pupil can change stroke but
only at the end of a length and not during a
length.
We have split the N.P.T.S.
into National Skill Awards (N.S.A.'s) as
follows:
Blue =
Skill Development
Red = Stroke
Development
Green
= Limited use of the
hands
See booklet on stroke
