SUMMER INTENSIVE
COURSES 2010 Summer Intensive
courses are run during the Summer school
holidays for a period of a week at a time under
the format of 30 minute lessons at the same time
each day, Monday to Friday inclusive. The repetition that
structured lessons offer over the course of a
week, allows children to progress rapidly.
No doubt, when you take your children on holiday
you notice a vast improvement in their swimming
confidence and ability through play, and this
can be mirrored with stroke improvement
repetition. The Summer Intensive
courses can also act as a head start for any
child about to go on holiday or as a refresher
for children, to revise the stroke technique
they learnt prior to the summer break and before
the autumn term commences. We have currently only
got dates booked in Harrogate on the weeks shown
below. Ashville Sports
Centre, Harrogate Summer Holidays Week 1:
26th Jul – 30th Jul ’10 (5
days) Summer Holidays Week 5:
23rd Aug – 27th Aug ’10 (5

swimming/stamina/diving course. Private swimming
lessons for both children and ADULTS can be
catered for on request at a cost of £100 for a 5

and Speed: As Ashville is a 30
metre pool, there will be a lane rope in use to
offer stamina building lessons with a coach. Children must be a

passed their National Swim Award 8 to undertake
stamina and speed work. Diving: By the end of the week
children should be able to pass the Diving Flip
